WoodWing Introduces HTML5-Based Editorial Management App Content Station 10

On August 9, WoodWing unveiled a new HTML5-based version of its editorial management application for its Content Station 10.

According to the company, "as the central dashboard of WoodWing´s multichannel publishing system Enterprise, Content Station allows publishers to drive and control content creation and production processes from a single point of truth.”

Aside from following the industry trend of moving away from flash — which the company explains is based on "security issues, device dependencies, limited usability, and the fact that browsers are moving away from Flash” — WoodWing claims the "new version offers an outstanding browser-based user experience and greater flexibility, and will help ease implementation.”

Roel-Jan Mouw, CEO of WoodWing Software, commented: “Publishers strive for ever-increasing efficiency of their processes and better ROI from the systems they use. They want to work smarter and faster, and they want future-proof technology that imposes no limits. Feedback from beta users assured us that Content Station 10 meets all these requirements and that we are on the right track.”
